We are drawn to these tattoos like bees to honey

We have all consumed honey. But how many of you know where honey REALLY comes from. Honey is made by honey bees and some other bees. It is produced from the sweet secretions of floral nectar and other insects, such as honeydew. The bees then regurgitate the nectar and it becomes honey. That’s right, we’re talking about bee vomit. The honey is then stored in wax honeycomb structures and harvested for human consumption. The search for honey dates back centuries, with the oldest known representation found in the Cuevas de la Araña (spider caves) in Spain dating back at least 8,000 years.

We’ve seen bees and honey featured prominently in movies and TV over the years. However, one of our all-time favorites is 2007’s “Bee Movie.” This movie was created by DreamWorks Animation and comedian Jerry Seinfeld voices Barry B. Benson, an animated bee who attempts to sue the human race for exploiting bees. The film was moderately successful upon release, earning $293 million worldwide. However, in recent years it has become a cult classic and an online meme legend. The film enjoyed such a resurgence that 14 years after its release, Jerry Seinfeld issued a public apology for the film’s “uncomfortable” “sexuality”.
