These book-inspired temporary tattoos are perfect for literature lovers who aren’t ready to get inked.

If literature was your favorite subject in school and you always have a book in hand during your daily commute or before bedtime, it’s like you love cute book quotes and memories of your favorite authors. You can even consider getting a tattoo of something related to your favorite book. If you’ve always considered a book-inspired tattoo and aren’t quite ready to commit, I’ve got the perfect options for you: temporary tattoos inspired by books.

Online retailer Prezzybox has released two packs of temporary tattoos inspired by two great names in literature: Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen and Alice in Wonderland by Lewis Carroll.

Let’s take a look at each of the super cute designs first. the Pride and Prejudice the temporary tattoos sheet has six designs. These include a number of quotes (including memorable lines from the book such as “My feelings will not be repressed” and “Stubborn, stubborn girl!”) as well as a glimpse of Pemberley, the fictional estate owned by Mrs. Darcy in the story.

the Alice in Wonderland the set has a little more variety in terms of sketches rather than just quotes, but there are some good old classic phrases that I’m sure you’ll recognize (think “We’re all mad here”, “Curioser and curioser, ‘ and ‘Drink me’). There are also plenty of pictorial references that you will remember, including a hat with “10/6” on the front. Oh, childhood memories…

The best thing about the tattoos is that they’ll only cost you £6.99 per pack and should be very easy to use. Plus, they’ll wash away once you get bored and want to try something new. I remember using temporary tattoos when I was younger, and it was a fairly simple process of sticking the “tattoo” onto your skin, soaking the back with water, then leave it and carefully peel off the backing paper. You can then simply wash the design by rubbing it gently with a damp flannel.

If you’re not a fan of these book-inspired designs, I’ve spotted many other cool designs that you can also try out if you feel like having a little fun with some temporary tattoos! It’s actually a great way to try out designs and locations if you’re planning on getting a real deal. Here are a few that I really like:

You can buy the Pride and Prejudice Where Alice in Wonderland temporary tattoos on the Prezzybox website for £6.99 each.
