Tattly launches scent temporary tattoos

Although temporary tattoos have been around for decades, Tattly takes your favorite nostalgic accessory to the next level. The Brooklyn-based company was started in 2011 by Tina Roth Eisenberg. Tina – a trained graphic designer – knew there was more out there for the humble temporary tattoo. These aren’t your mom’s temporary tattoos, and over the past six years, Tattly has grown from just 15 designs to thousands (ranging from dainty to bold) on their website by artists around the world. . Tina is always on the lookout for innovative ways to test the limits of temporary tattooing, and Tattly’s newest design comes with a scent. The art of these latest tattoos was created by French artist Vincent Jeannerot. Vincent’s watercolors feature beautiful floral images reminiscent of 19th century botanical illustrations, and even feel like real flowers. There are several tattoos to choose from, including blue hydrangeas and pink and purple peonies. Tina first discovered Vincent’s work on Instagram, where she fell in love with his watercolors. She immediately knew she wanted to work with him and asked if he was up for a collaboration. Sure enough it was, and from there they enlisted the help of Agilex Fragrance, a fragrance company, to help them create the scent to go with these unique tattoos. “We started working with the Agilex perfume house, and they were so kind to experiment with us,” says Tina. “Their designers were very excited to take a visual design and then try to interpret a scent for it. We launched it and it was an incredible success. It seems no one else is doing it. Tattly is currently the only temporary tattoo on the market with a fragrance component. However, this is the second iteration of the scent tattoo between Tattly and Vincent. Their first ink collaboration featured the same beautiful watercolor images of the artist, but depicted herbs with an equally delicious scent. When it comes to design, Tina makes a concerted effort to support the artists that Tattly collaborates with, which is evident from the countless number of designs available on their site and their many ongoing collaborations. As the temporary tattoo continues to evolve, Tattly will be there to help move it forward in the most innovative and beautiful way – one scented design at a time.
