Japan has brought us many amazing culinary dishes, from sushi to miso soup. One of my personal favorites is the ramen, which consists of Chinese wheat noodles, meat or fish broth, and a variety of toppings. The origins of this noodle soup are highly controversial, as some argue that it was imported from China to Japan in the 1660s, while others argue that it was closer to the late 19th or early 19th century. Twentieth century. Regardless, Japan has definitely made this dish their own and today it is spread all over the world.
Almost all parts of Japan have their own variation of ramen. One of the greatest inventions of the 20th century was Momofuku Ando’s creation of instant ramen. Ando invented an instant noodle recipe in 1958 and went on to create blockbuster international brands such as Top Ramen and Cup Noodles.
Ramen is regularly enjoyed in both instant and traditional varieties around the world, with over 5,000 ramen restaurants in Tokyo alone. There is no limit to what a ramen business can achieve, whether it’s a multi-million dollar company or a Michelin-starred restaurant.
